INDIA WON 39 MEADL’S IN COMMONWEALTH WEIGHTLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2025. INDIA

    India secured a dominant position, winning the Senior Men’s and Women’s Team Trophies and a combined 35 medals across senior, junior, and youth categories. 

India won 39 medals in commonwealth weightlifting championship.

Based on recent reports, India won a total of 39 medals at the 2025 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships held in Ahmedabad, India, across the senior, junior, and youth categories
. This included 26 gold, 10 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
The senior Indian weightlifting contingent topped the medal tally in the senior category, securing 13 medals, consisting of 3 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Junior and youth lifters from India contributed significantly to the overall tally by winning multiple medals in their respective age groups.

Indian weightlifters also set new junior Commonwealth records at the Championships. Sairaj Pardesi won gold in the junior men’s 88kg category, setting new junior Commonwealth records in snatch, clean and jerk, and total lift. Mirabai Chanu’s performance also secured her qualification for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2026.
