TST Since 2019 with Sports Authority of India (SAI) was set up in 1984 to carry forward the legacy of the IXth Asian Games held in New Delhi in 1982 under the Department of Sports. SAl has been entrusted with the twin objectives of promoting sports and achieving sporting excellence at the national and international level
The sport of fencing was introduced in India in the 1970s. The FENCING ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (FAI) was formed in 1974. However, structured development and competitions were initiated only in the late 1990s.
TST Since 2023. The Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association is situated in the Capital city of India – New Delhi. It is avidly responsible for conducting Kayaking and Canoeing sports activities both at a national as well as regional level.
TST Since 2023. Sailing in India can be traced back to the first recorded race being sailed on 06 Feb 1830 in Bombay (now Mumbai).Till the time the British left India after the Second World War, the five active sailing clubs were based at Bombay, Madras, Bangalore, Barrackpore and Nainital.
TST Since 2019. The Archery Association of India was formed on 8th August, 1973 in Delhi with the objective to organize, encourage, promote and regulate the game of Archery in India. The AAI is an apex Non-Profit Autonomous organisation of Archery in India under Registration of Society Act 1860.
